FLASH: HOA Articles of incorporation, and many other documents now on line at Madison County Probate Judge TOMMY RAGLAND web site. (Link below) The Madison county Probate Judge's office, Judge Tommy Ragland, has a tremendous amount of things we realtors could use online. Some of the info, includes articles of incorporation of ALL HOA's since 1991.
http://www.co.madison.al.us/probate/home.shtml Choose instructions, very important, then choose Recorded Documents, then search Recorded Documents, Put in the last name say, McMullen cove. it will bring up many documents on that subdivision, including articles of incorporation for HOA. Bylaws are not there as far as I can see. There must be over a hundred pages in PDF for McMullen Cove alone

Madison City Council Work Session 4-28-10. Audio, some tech problems.

Called for Round Robin discussion on HOA's. Hsv. Mad. Co. builders, HOA's, Hsv. area Assoc. of Realtors, REBA, and the public attended. High point of meeting was when Senator Tom Butler and Rep. Mac McCutcheon have generated the first draft of a bill and are in the process of getting feedback on it. They also passed a resolution, giving the Governor, Lt. Governor, and the Speaker of the Alabama House the power to appoint a panel to study the issue, with the intent to Introduce the Bill into the Alabama Legislature in January, 2011.
